Mu Ko Hong consists of a group of limestone islands including Ko Lao or Ko Sa Ka, Ko Lao Riam, Ko Pakka, Ko Lao La Ding and Ko Hong or Ko Lao Li Pe which is the biggest island to the south.

Khao Pra – Bang Khram Wildlife Sanctuary (เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าเขาประ – บางคราม) This is located at Tambon Khlong Thom Nuea. Comprising lowland forest, this area features the Emerald Pool or Sa Morakot, which are 3 hot springs with a temperature of 30 – 50 degrees Celsius. The forest is home to numerous flora and rare birds like Gurney’s Pitta, Rufous-collared Kingfisher, and Black Hornbill. There is also a 2.7-km nature trail known as the Tina Jollife (Thung Tiao) Trail, named after an English activist wanting to conserve this batch of rainforest.

Koh Hong, Krabi (Hong Island) means room, and entering this hollowed out island by boat is much like floating through a giant reception hall with two doors.

Koh Hong is a very outstanding island located in the northwest of Ao Nang. Almost completely surrounded by Limestone Mountain, the bay in the morth of this island is so similar to a hall, and this is the reason why the island is called Koh Hong, which means a hall island. Koh Hong has two major beaches in the front and the back of the island. The former is the main port, so it is not very goof for swimming; whereas the latter is a nice for sunbathing diving and canoeing.
